- David Beckham might be the master of the white t-shirt.
- The ex-footballer showed the virtues of simplicity when he was papped touching down in Tokyo on Tuesday.
- Beckham's style was unrefined, effortless and elevated by some seriously expensive designer accessories — obviously.
Like all great style icons, David Beckham shows that simplicity is often the key to looking great.
Hopping off a flight at Tokyo's Haneda Airport, the ex-footballer demonstrated that fitted isn't always best when it comes to rocking a plain white t-shirt.

Beckham's tee is loose-fitted and partly tucked in, creating a look that's laid-back without being messy — perfect if you don't have the physique of the former football star.
His sleeves are also slightly rolled, which is key to pulling off a white tee well, according to Laurent Coulier, chief buying officer at Menlook.
"Not only does it grant a neater edge to your tee, it also makes slight arms look bigger," said Coulier. Apparently, mid-tricep is where your sleeves should stop.
Naturally, being Beckham, the look was completed with a £32,000 ($42,000) Rolex Yachtmaster II in yellow gold.
Beckham elevated his look even further with a Louis Vuitton holdall bag and a grey pair of Adidas Yeezy PowerPhase Calabasas sneakers.
If you don't have $40,000+ to spend on designer accessories, though, the humble white t-shirt is a good place to start.
